Shabbat and the Eightfold Path

Shabbat and the Eightfold Path

  • By Sheila Weinberg
  •  kindness, May 2015 Meditation Teacher Training, practice

Presenter: Sheila Weinberg
Event & Date: Jewish Meditation Teacher Training May 2015
Podcast Notes:
Sheila begins with a explanation of the value of the making the Buddha’s Eightfold Path part of your practice. The seeds of the results of our actions are the wholesome and unwholesome intentions that inform these actions.

Shabbat supports our wholesome intentions as we practice renunciation in the service of developing presence. Kindness is at the core of Shabbat. Kindness is at the core of the Eightfold Path. This kindness supports those intentions and actions that move us to Oneness.
