Conceptual thinking has a deep connection to what is being experienced in the body. It is valuable to pay attention to whether out thoughts are wholesome – based in kindness and generosity – or unwholesome, based in desire and ill will. Awareness of thinking is where we need to head in our practice – loving attention is the vehicle. The very act of loving attention to the thinking process helps change harmful thoughts to helpful ones. When lost in thought, listen to what your heart is saying.
Each Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 1:00 PM, Rabbi Jeff Roth leads an online meditation groups open to all. Jeff starts with some instructions for the day, we sit for 30 minutes and then have 10-15 minutes for questions and comments.
