Introduction to Jewish Meditation with Jeff Roth at Isabella Freedman
July 13 – 19, 2009
with Rabbi Jeff Roth
at Isabella Freedman in Falls Village, CT
The practice of Jewish meditation is one of the most powerful tools for deepening one’s spiritual life. It helps in steadying the mind and transforming the tendencies that lead to greed, anger and confusion. We’ll learn a variety of techniques that can help awaken the heart to greater compassion and loving feelings, leading us to act with greater kindness in our lives. This class will offer a balance of didactic presentations with time for contemplative practice. It is the perfect opportunity for those who have been drawn to learning to meditate but are hesitant to attend a fully silent retreat.
