Introduction to Contemplative Jewish Prayer
A thirteen minute introduction to contemplative Jewish prayer. This talk by Rabbi Jeff Roth includes practice instructions on how to work with the interface of mindfulness, concentration and prayer.
Rather than only being left at the mercy of, ‘now I’m angry, now I’m lustful,’ it’s actually possible to cultivate the heart-mind space that has qualities like what we’ll be working with in the prayers.

Thank you, o thank you, for bringing to me this wonderful and extremely timely message from G-d, and God of our Fathers and Mothers, re-minding me of my Way and who I am….
THIS HAS BEEN A BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE FOR ME. I HAVE LISTENED TO THE MORNING SERVICE AND NOW THE PRAYER. I AM GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE WITH TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND ARE IN THE PROCESS OF WELL, PROCESSING. EVERY WORD SPOKEN HAS BEEN IN LINE WITH WHAT I HAVE BEEN CURRENTLY LEARNING. I AM NOT JEWISH BUT HAVE FOUND TRUTH COMFORT AND A NEW WAY OF LIVING AND LEARNING ABOUT MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND MY ROLE AS A CHILD MADE IN GOD’S IMAGE TO BRING INTO THE LIFE AROUND ME. I AM VERY INTERESTED IN ANY RETREATS OR MORE INFORMATION. I AM READING THE SACRED ART OF LOVINGKINDNESS AND AM COMMITTED TO THE THIRTEEN WEEKS OF STUDY. I PLAN TO INCORPORATE THIS WEBSITE INTO IT. MANY THANKS SHALOM KRISTEN
I am enjoying the lectures…listening is helping me integrate my spiritual/psychogical Jewish being..Thank you very much..Celia
